In an attempt to safeguard its customers from counterfeit components and assure only the finest quality, Japanese bearing manufacturer NSK Ltd. has recently developed and launched a precision bearing app, appropriately named Verify.

This pioneering free mobile application allows users to gain immediate access to the inspection certificate for each individual item, right at their fingertips and without the need to open its packaging.

Located on the outer of the NSK box, each unique 2D barcode can be scanned, providing genuine information which can be cross referenced against the database, thus improving traceability and guaranteeing authenticity.

The data can then be exported into CSV and PDF formats, offering a more advanced automated, IT-based management system.

The data accessible via the app includes individual product ID, bearing number, grease brand, manufacture date, dimensional tolerance and running accuracy.

Other services also include product information and catalogues, bearing doctor and technological calculation.

Verify currently applies to all precision bearings manufactured from the end of 2018 and will be rolled out to further ranges in the forth-coming future.
