Following my apprenticeship and formative years with an independent company, I joined WYKO in 2001 at the Preston Service Centre as an electro-mechanical engineer. In this role my duties included repair of a variety of rotating equipment including motor, gearbox and pump refurbishments, both in the workshop environment and on customer sites.
My passion for engineering and the time spent in this practical role has given me the technical knowledge that I have been able to develop and capitalise on in the subsequent years.
During my career with ERIKS, I have carried out a series of roles within our Engineering function. A series of promotions beginning with my first to Works Supervisor, through single site and regional areas, ahve helped me progress through the organisation to my current role of Engineering Manager for the North of England and Scotland.
Throughout my career, I have continued my personal developement and am currently studying an Executive MBA course at University of Bolton, which takes up most of my free time. When I do get the opportunity, I enjoy reading and taking part in fundraising for CRUK and MacMillan Cancer Support charities.
