OPTICAL GAS IMAGING

Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) makes gas leaks visible by using specialist thermographic cameras.

Using the camera each type of gases appear as opaque in a narrowband infrared wavelength, making it possible see the gas as a weep before it becomes a leak.

ERIKS OGI surveys can form part of condition monitoring contract and are undertaken every 3-6 months depending on site requirements.

THERMOGRAPHY

Highlight heat losses and use energy effectively

Thermography can be used to highlight areas of energy loss, and eliminating this wastage results in lower operating costs and carbon emissions. 

ERIKS' Thermographic surveys can be as part of a condition monitoring contract, or continuously monitored with ERIKS e-Connect, enabling problems to be identified and repaired before they breakdown or become serious enough to represent a safety risk, such as overheating electrical equipment, which could result in a fire.

VIBRATION ANALYSIS

ERIKS Vibration Analysis assesses the condition of equipment by evaluating the vibration signatures to detect upcoming faults avoiding future failure. The significant early warning for specific faults allows accurate repairs to be scheduled in preventing costly downtime.

OIL ANALYSIS

Early warning of critical failure and compliance to statutory regulations

Any machine that uses oil as a lubricant, insulator or power medium can have its condition monitored by taking periodic samples for analysis or monitored constantly.

  • In bearings and gearboxes, oil can indicate if there is wear and/or contamination.
  • In transformers and switchgear, electrical oil can indicate if a failure is iminent.
  • Fluid power systems oil analysis enables you to achieve the appropriate fluid cleanliness to keep equipment running and in line with statutory regulations.

Oil Analysis can form part of a condition monitoring contract or via ERIKS e-Connect using immersed sensors.

Surge testing of Electric motor

BAKER SURGE TESTING

Surge testing electrical apparatus such as motors, generators and transformers can indicate weaknesses in their insulation system. This combined with insulation resistance and circuit resistance provides a complete summary.

Engineer TEV HV Probe testing

TEV HV PROBE TESTING

Online Partial Discharge testing of MV/HV switchgear, cable joints and transformers will prove the integrity of the electrical apparatuses’ insulation system and help troubleshoot potential issues.

Engineer Partial Discharge testing

PARTIAL DISCHARGE TESTING

Partial Discharge testing removes small sparks which indicate an electrical breakdown of insulation. Identifying issues early can negate electrical failures.

The ultrasound emissions survey senses high frequency sounds produced by operating equipment, leaks and electrical discharges, identifying an array of issues before they develop into greater problems.

TAN DELTA TESTING

Measuring the loss angle (tan delta) of an insulation system, be it a motor, generator, transformer or cable, provides us with information to determine its integrity and assists in trending any potential deterioration before a catastrophic failure.

Engineer IMCA Testing

IMCA TESTING

Induction motor current analysis is a non-intrusive test which can detect broken/cracked bars in squirrel cage induction motors before a potentially catastrophic failure.
