As the winter months draw in and the cooler temperatures set, giving us those unwanted chills, it’s pivotal that we protect our skin when we’re in such harsh environments.

winter

Naturally our bodies aren’t prepared for this sudden change of temperature, so the obvious choice is a sturdy pair of gloves or a woolly hat. However, many of you may not be aware that these aren’t the only practical methods of protection.

Regarded in the industry as the most comprehensive and innovative skin care collection in the world, the Deb Stoko® range provides you with everything you need to reduce the risk of occupational skin disease, stop the spread of germs and maintain healthy skin.

All you have to do is follow these four simple steps – Protect, Cleanse, Sanitise and Restore.

By applying a pre-work cream, you are setting yourself up for a winner. The correct choice of lotion will form a protective layer on the skin, which is harder for contaminants to penetrate, in essence making your skin – whether it be hands or face – easier to clean.

Throughout the day, it’s also advised that you wash your hands at regular intervals, in order to remove any harmful contaminants and irritants. The unique solvent-free formula of the Deb Stoko® range is clinically proven to efficiently remove dirt, oil and grease, and only one dose is required.

Hand sanitisers are one of the most popular germ killers, as they do not require the use of water and apply a high level of disinfectant to the skin. They can also be purchased in conveniently-sized bottles that can be transported wherever you go, so no excuses here.

Finally, after-work lotions – the last element to keeping your skin in perfect condition. Your choice of restoration product should be a carefully deliberated one, as it’s at this step that your skin maintains its moisture and re-nourishes itself. Particularly in colder environments, when the temperature takes a sudden drop, these creams prevent your hands and face from becoming dry and cracked.

On a final note, as the largest element of the human body, it’s vital that we ensure our skin is always in tip-top condition, therefore, employees must be educated on the severe problems that can be caused due to lack of protection.

So, stick by this four-process rule, and we guarantee that your skin will feel as smooth as the day you were born.
