Full steam ahead - Scottish distillery with Grundfos
There’s steam and there’s high-quality steam. There are pump solutions and intelligent pump solution...
Recently the UK Government released details of a phased reintegration into the workplace, but that certainly doesn’t mean that we should suddenly dismiss any of the guidelines currently in place. If anything, we should be looking to further adapt these procedures and tailor specifically to our individual operations to ensure that our employees are fully protected.
The UK, in particular, faces months of uncertainty, and with uncertainty comes challenge and change. The sudden halt of the country has had disastrous effects on our economy, and slowly but surely, we’re being tasked with getting it back on its feet. But we all must remember that safety is the primary concern. Employers and employees must work in unison to create environments that promote health, wellbeing and productivity.
To aid both employers and employees with the reintegration process, practical advice and guidelines have been launched by the Government that outline what should be considered if we are to successfully get our businesses back up and running effectively, and more importantly, safely.
As part of the ERIKS ‘Return To Work Safely’ Series, we’ll be taking a look at the following four key areas, which we believe carry significant importance during these challenging circumstances.
As a business that understands that without our employees we are unable to achieve our goals, we take health and safety extremely seriously. By providing simple guidance, that can be built on, we hope, like many other companies, that the difficult times we face, can be made as easy as possible.
This is just the initial step. Managing the risks moving forward will be vital if we are to successfully come through this pandemic, and in time, maybe reach some sense of normality. Throughout the week, we will be breaking down each of the above categories, providing you with advice, tips and products which will ease the burden of your return to work, and protect your health and wellbeing. So, don’t forget to check back.
